Box 2456 Oak Ridge, TN 37830 PH:865-576-1245 meyers@atdd.noaa.gov 1.0 DATA SET OVERVIEW This data set contains 30-minute resolution surface meteorological, flux, and radiation data from the NOAA/ATDD flux tower site at the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in northeatern Montana. The data set covers the period from 3 November 1999 to 9 April 2003. The data are in columnar ASCII format. 2.0 SITE INFORMATION: Site: Fort Peck Indian Reservation vegetation: grassland Latitude:48.30768 Longitude:105.10185 Leaf Area Index: varie but generally about 2.0 canopy height: 20 - 40 cm Flux measurement height: 3.5 m 3.0 DATA FILE INFORMATION: Following is a list and units of data contained in the FPYY_XXX.DAT files where YY is the two digit year (e.g. 02 = 2002) and XXX is the calender day of year. Note that the files from 1999 each contain 10 days of data (except for the final file of the year) with the day in the file name being the end of the time period. The data files from 2000 on each contain one day of data. Note that the actual parameters may vary from time to time, please see the documentation files included with your order.
