IHOP_2002 Satellite: GOES-11 Imagery [JOSS] 1.0 General Information The GOES-11 Imagery (GIF) is one of several satellite products collected as part of the International H20 Project (IHOP_2002) field catalog operated by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research/Joint Office for Science Support (UCAR/JOSS; http://www.joss.ucar.edu/ihop/catalog/). UCAR/JOSS utilized its SeaSpace system to retrieve data from the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite 11 (GOES-11) and developed sectors over the IHOP_2002 region. This data set consists of the sectored 1-km imagery from Channel 1 (visible; 0.65um) of the GOES-11 satellite. The products cover the period from 1 - 21 June 2002 and cover the IHOP_2002 sector (32-42N and 90-105W). The products are typically available every 15 minutes, but rapid scan imagery are also often available (most often during the afternoon and evening hours). All images are in gif format. 2.0 Data Contact Steven Williams UCAR Joint Office For Science Support P.O.
