			    MIR DATA FORMAT

Each flight is contained in one file on an Exabyte EXB-8500 8 mm
cartridge.  All values are in four-byte IEEE floating point.  Each
physical tape block contains 20 logical records.  Each logical record
contains one calibrated MIR scan.
