readme.mpr Readme file for Microwave Profiling Radiometer (MPR) data (S.Paech) The MPR data contain atmospheric profiles of temperature, water vapor, relative humidity and cloud liquid at 2 minute intervals. Data files are in a condensed format and are named mpr_YYYYMMDD.dat where: YYYY -> year MM -> month DD -> day The data, column by column, is as follows: Column 1 -> identifies the profile as temperature (T), water vapor (V), relative humidity (R) or cloud liquid water (L). 2-3 -> measurement date and time (UTC) 4-6 -> surface conditions as measured at/by the MPR (temperature, relative humidity and pressure) . 7 -> Tir: Infrared thermometer temperature (cloud base temp) (K) 8 -> the presence or absence of rain is reported as Y (yes) or N (no) 9 -> Vint: integrated vapor (cm) 10 -> Lqint: integrated liquid (mm) 11-57 -> profile data at each height (km): 100m spacing to 1 km, 250m spacing above, to 10 km.
