GIDS-1 Hourly Surface Composite https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/1.65 Summary The GIDS-1 Hourly Surface Composite contains surface and sea level pressure, temperature, dew point temperature, wind speed and direction, and precipitation observations from surface observing sites in the central United States. Visibility, present weather, ceiling, and cloud type heights and amounts are included for those stations which report them (generally SAO and ASOS). This composite is the STORM-FEST Hourly Surface Composite augmented with 6 additional weeks of operational data (15 March - 30 April 1992). NOTE: An error was found in the calculation of the calculated sea level pressure in the Illinois Climate Network data in this dataset. Please see the Data Remarks section of the Readme file for a detailed description of this error.
