These data are available to be used subject to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research ("UCAR") terms and conditions.
The MADIS satellite wind dataset consists of multiple wind products from different "providers" that are integrated into a single dataset at FSL. Currently, the products consist of data from the GOES satellites. This dataset contains rapid scan experimental winds that are produced hourly. A companion dataset, "Satellite: FSL MADIS Winds Operational (3 hr) Dataset," contains the 3-hour winds that are produced on an operational basis.
