Meteorological and Radio Brightness Observations of Thawing Permafrost Near Toolik Lake, Alaska, 2004 https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/106.ARCSS173 Summary This data set includes meteorological and radio brightness observations of tundra and shrub terrain on the North Slope of Alaska, USA near Toolik Lake. These data are nearly continuous from 8 May through 2 July 2004; the ground surface ranged from snow-covered frozen ground to approximately 25 cm thaw depth. The meteorological observations include air and soil temperatures, soil moisture, wind speed and direction, net radiation, and soil heat flux. Radio brightness observations are dual polarized at 6.7 GHz, 19 GHz, and 37 GHz. Data are in Microsoft Excel 2003 workbooks.
