Japan Research Vessel Seifu Maru High Resolution Radiosonde Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/110.104 Summary This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the THORPEX Pacific Asian Regional Campaign (T-PARC). It includes 53 high vertical resolution (2-second) radiosonde soundings from the Japanese R/V Seifu Maru. The soundings were typically released two times per day (00 and 12 UTC) from 30 August to 28 September 2008. The soundings from R/V Seifu Maru were released in the Eastern China Sea to the west of Kyushu, Japan. The raw sounding data were made available by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). NCAR/EOL converted these soundings to the EOL Sounding Composite (ESC) columnar ASCII format and conducted a series of quality control checks.
