T-PARC: Japan Naze High Resolution Radiosonde Data

Summary

This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the THORPEX Pacific Asian Regional Campaign (T-PARC 2008). The data set includes 156 high vertical resolution (1-second) soundings from Naze, Japan (WMO - 47909). The data cover August and September 2008 and soundings were typically released at 00 and 12 UTC with some special releases during periods of nearby tropical storms. The data are in the EOL Sounding Composite format which is columnar ASCII. The data were provided by JMA.
