Forward-Looking Digital Camera Movies https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/113.087 Summary During the PLOWS project, the NSF/NCAR C-130 flew a forward looking digital camera for in-flight video capture. Individual JPEG photo images were captured once per second during flights. Images taken after dark have been stripped and the remaining images were converted to MPEG (.MP4) movie files. The movies are MPEG-4 codec playable with Quicktime (Mac/Windows), Xine (Linux), Mplayer, or VLC (cross-platform). The original images are 704x480 pixels and were recorded at 1 frame/second. The movies are set to play back at 712x384 pixels and 15 fps.
