HIPPO-2 Multiple Enclosure Device for Unfractionated Sampling of Air (MEDUSA) Kernel Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/117.092 Summary This dataset contains Multiple Enclosure Device for Unfractionated Sampling of Air (MEDUSA) kernel data collected by the NCAR GV during HIPPO-2. The data are in NASA Ames format. In order to compare in situ and flask values, an averaging kernel which takes into account flow rate and mixing time, tau, at time of sampling is required. For Medusa O2 data, this has included some additional flask screening and updates to the Ar/N2 correction. For AO2 O2 data, this has included more extensive QAQC and filtering updates, revisions to the time-or-flight and mean offset corrections, and implementation of an empirical ascent/descent correction, as described in the paper.
