These data are available to be used subject to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research ("UCAR") terms and conditions.
This dataset consists of sounding data from the PACS-97 (TEPPS; Tropical Eastern Pacific Process Study) cruise of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ship Ron Brown. Soundings were released from 2 to 12 times per day at various times of the cruise. The cruise started in Panama, went to 8N 125W, then San Diego, and finally to a subtropical location.
The cruise started 28 July 1997 and ended 6 September 1997.
These data were processed through automated and visual quality control. This data set includes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude taken at 2 second vertical intervals.
Refer to the station README for details.
