NCAR/EOL 449 MHz Radar Wind Profiler Winds and Moments Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/233.010 Summary This dataset contains 449 MHz wind profiler data collected by the NCAR/EOL Integrated Sounding System (ISS) during the Persistent Cold-Air Pool Study (PCAPS) field campaign. This dataset includes doppler moments data (.mom.nc) and 5 and 30 minute consensus winds data (.winds.*.nc) bundled into daily tar files. This was the first major deployment of the 449 MHz modular wind profiler, using an early 3 antenna prototype of the system. The data system was originally based on a PIRAQ radar processing card, but was replaced by a PENTEK radar card in December during the campaign. The files from each system are differentiated by piraq and pentek in the tar filenames. These data have not been quality controlled.
