These data are available to be used subject to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research ("UCAR") terms and conditions.
This dataset contains cloud videos. The files are mpeg video files digitized from VHS format video tapes which were recorded from a downward-looking video camera system mounted on the NASA ER-2 during the Central Equatorial Pacific Experiment (CEPEX). One video tape has been recorded per mission, for a total of 13 videos. The rf10 video (3/28) is not available due to problems with the original recording. On some of the videos the on-screen display reads the year 1992 when it should be 1993. All videos between (and including) dates 3/12/93 - 3/31/93 read one day ahead of what they should be on the on-screen dislplay, however, the actual dates can be read from the file names. F-stop varied per mission with shutter speed set at 1/2000 per sec. This includes cloud video.
