NOAA AVHRR Digital Imagery (LAC) https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/4.12 Summary Two NOAA polar orbiting satellites carried the AVHRR sensor during STORM-FEST. AVHRR has five spectral channels in the visible, near-infrared and infrared. Data consists of 1 km resolution HRPT or LAC and 4 km resolution GAC imagery over a 1600 km swath. Up to 4 overpasses of the STORM-FEST region occur daily. Identifiers * Local archive identifier: 4.12 Citation National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), NOAA. 2006.
