Low Rate (LRT - 1 sps) Navigation, State Parameter, and Microphysics Flight-Level Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/487.008 Summary This dataset includes airborne measurements obtained from the NSF/NCAR GV HIAPER (Gulfstream-V High-performance Instrumented Airborne Platform for Environmental Research) (N677F) during the CSET (Cloud System Evolution in the Trades) project. This dataset contains low rate navigation, state parameter, and microphysics flight-level data in netCDF format. Password required for access. 1.1: Add 2DS data inadvertently left out of original release. 1.2: Add three variables: A1DC_LWOO, AUHSAS_RWOOU, ACDP_LWOI and update RSTB. 1.3: This update contains corrected 2DC data (variables ending in _LWOO) and 2DS data ( _3H and _3V). No other data has been changed. It was discovered that all particles in a single buffer got time-stamped with the data-system time tag of the end off the buffer. So for concentrations above 5-10/L, or when in heavy cloud, the system writes multiple buffers per second so the time-stamp will be very close to accurate. But when a buffer spans multiple seconds, all the particles were being binned to the second of the end time-stamp for the buffer. This has now been corrected so data is spread across the time-period of the buffer correctly. This version also uses exact circle fitting for measuring particle size and limits accepted particles to center-in images. 1.4: Merge of HOLODEC binned concentration and particle count data.
