GRIP NASA DC-8 Quality Controlled Dropsonde Archive


This data set contains dropsonde data from the NASA DC-8 medium altitude research aircraft.  A total of 328 quality-controlled dropsonde soundings were released during 16 research flights, and are contained in the final dropsonde data set.

    This data has been corrected for a temperature dependent relative humidity dry bias.

  • 3.0 (2016-09-16):

    This dataset was corrected for a temperature dependent relative humidity and dew point dry bias.  This is the latest version of the data.
