MITTEN-CI: CopterSonde 3 Offshore Vertical Profiles

Summary

Vertical profiles of temperature, relative humidity and winds measured by the InterMet CopterSonde3 that was deployed from a location on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan at the intake facility of the Wyoming, Michigan City Water Plant (northwest of Holland, Michigan) during the Maritime to Inland Transitions Towards ENvironments for Convection Initiation (MITTEN-CI) campaign. Profiles were taken from a point approximately 300m offshore and from about 190 to 800 m ASL.

Archive note

No data were collected on 4, 6, 10, 13, 16, 24, 25, and 29 July 2024. The flights from 1152 to 1703 on 1 July were training flights.
