The samples were collected in close proximity to the Semi-arid Grassland Research Center (SGRC, 40.810 °N, 104.778 °W; 1660 m above sea level) within the Central Plains Experimental Range near Nunn, Colorado, U.S.A., from late May to late June in 2022 and 2023. The measurements were conducted as part of the BACS (BioAerosol and Convective Storm) and BROADN (Biology Integration Institute: Regional OneHealth Aerobiome Discovery Network) campaigns.
