ICECHIP: Hailsonde Profile Data
Summary
Vertical profiles of shell-temperature, shell-moisture, and winds from the Bureau of Meteorology/Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Hailsonde system that was deployed into supercells across the United States plains region during the ICECHIP (In-situ Collaborative Experiment for the Collection of Hail In the Plains) campaign.
Archive note
Typically 2-3 Hailsondes were released during ICECHIP IOPs if supercells developed.
