C-130 Meteorology Dropsonde High Resolution (0.5 s) Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/68.061 Summary The DYCOMS-II Aircraft: C-130 Meteorology Dropsonde High Vertical Resolution (0.5 s) Data (NCAR/ATD) is one of several upper air data sets collected by the National Center For Atmospheric Research/Earth Observing Laboratory (NCAR/EOL) as part of the Dynamics and Chemistry of Marine Stratocumulus Phase II: Entrainment Studies (DYCOMS-II) project. The data were provided by the National Center for Atmospheric Research/Atmospheric Technology Division (NCAR/ATD). Included in the data set are 0.5 second vertical resolution data from dropsondes released from the National Science Foundation (NSF)/NCAR C-130 aircraft as part of the DYCOMS-II project. Dropsondes were released during aircraft flight (10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 24, 25, and 26 July 2001. Most flights were during the night.
