NOAA P-3 Dropsonde Profiles https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/72.046 Summary The EPIC Aircraft:P-3 Meteorology Dropsonde Profiles dataset (NOAA/AOC) is one of several archived by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research/Joint Office for Science Support (UCAR/JOSS) in support of the Eastern Pacific Investigation of Climate (EPIC) project. The data were collected and provided by The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/Aircraft Operations Center (NOAA/AOC). This dataset contains 0.5 second vertical resolution profiles derived from dropsondes released from the NOAA-P3 aircraft during EPIC. Dropsondes were released during aircraft flights on the following days: September 2001(3, 5, 9, 13, 16, 20, 21, and 28) and October 2001(3, 5, 6, and 7).
