Mexican Navy SEMAR R/V Altair Rawinsondes https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/82.076 Summary This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the North American Monsoon Experiment (NAME). This data set includes vertical high resolution (2 second) rawindsonde data from the Secretaria de Armada de Mexico (SEMAR) Research Vessel (R/V) Altair. During NAME the R/V Altair was located near 23.5 N and 108.0 W for two cruises (7-22 July and 27 July to 12 August 2004). Soundings were typically released four times per day but there were more frequent releases during Intensive Observing Periods (IOPs). These data were provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/Environmental Technology Laboratory (NOAA/ESRL/PSD). NOTE: These data have been corrected as of 16 February 2010 for a significant dry bias. See the documentation file for details on the correction(s) applied to this data set.
