1.0  DATA SET OVERVIEW


This data set contains 1-minute resolution surface meteorological data
from the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) stations located
at the Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake.  These data were 
provided by NAWS China Lake for the T-REX period (March and April 2006).  
Each file gzipped file containing one day of data.  The data are in 
comma-delimited ASCII.

4.1  File Naming conventions

Files have names like:

04-21-2006new.txt.gz
where:
	04 is the two digit month
        21 is the two digit day
        2006 is the four digit year

These data are comma delimited ASCII.

Wind Speed - knots

Present Weather
Temperature - degrees C
Dew Point - degrees C
Altimeter - inches of mercury
