This ascii dataset contains NLDN cloud-to-ground strokes and NLDN LF cloud event data. 
The data format is as follows:

(1) Date (MM/DD/YY)
(2) Time (HH:mm:ss) (in milliseconds)
(3) Latitude (degrees)
(4) Longitude (degrees)
(5) Polarity and Peak Current (kA)
(6) Lightning event type (G for cloud-to-ground and C for cloud)
(7) Chi square value (quality metric for the location estimate)
(8) Length of the semi-major axis of the error ellipse (km) (quality metric for the 
    		location estimate)
