Dataset Description: These files contain ozone data from the RON BROWN collected by the University of Maryland during the INDOEX project. The data were collected during the three legs of the ship Ron Brown's voyage, and are stored in files named in the table below. Leg Time Period Filename --- ----------- -------- Leg 1 Feb. 22 - March 1 leg1.o3.30min Leg 2 March 4 - March 23 leg2.o3.30min Leg 3 March 26 - March 30 leg3.o3.30min A TECO 49 ozone instrument was used to collect the data. The data have been averaged into 30 minute time bins. The given time (DOY) for each record is the average time for data included in the averaging period. File Format: The data columns are DOY (decimal day of year, DOY 32.5= noon GMT on Feb 1) during year 1999, latitude, longitude, ozone mixing ratio in ppb, the instrument mode (can be ignored), and the number of data points that went into that average. Missing data are indicated by -999. Columns are delimited by commas. References: None
