EOL data archive

The EOL data archive contains atmospheric, meteorological, and other geophysical datasets from operational sources and the scientific research programs and projects for which NCAR/EOL has provided data management support. The project list may be sorted by selecting the header keys and full project descriptions and dataset lists are available by selecting the project title. You may search for projects with the form below. You may also search for datasets by keyword or space and time.

HVAMS: Hudson Valley Ambient Meteorology Study
For the last fifty years it has often been argued that studies of the lower atmosphere should concentrate on understanding the most elementary situations; we are to attack the more difficult problems later. Following this line, many projects continue...

IDEAS-3: Instrument Development and Education in Airborne Science Phase 3
The "idea" for the IDEAS program came from the annual UCAR Members' Meeting in the fall of 2000. A review of facility needs was conducted at this meeting, and one major discussion issue was that university faculty and students want more opportunities...

SMEX03: Soil Moisture Experiments in 2003
Soil moisture is the most significant boundary condition that controls summer precipitation over the central US and other large mid-latitude continental regions, and essential initial information for seasonal predictions. A common goal of a wide range...
