PLOWS: Canadian GEM Global Model Forecast Imagery
Summary
This data set contains the four panel forecast imagery from the Environment Canada global GEM model over North America. The panels contain 500 mb height/wind/vorticity, mean sea level pressure/1000-500mb thickness, 700mb hieghts/humidity, and 850mb heights/temperature. The products are available every 12 hours out to the 144 hour forecast. The images were created by Environment Canada.
This data set contains imagery from the two PLOWS field phases, 6 February to 31 March 2009 and 14 October 2009 to 10 March 2010. No imagery are available for the period between the field phases.
