CYCLES-79: Cyclonic Extratropical Storms - 1979

Summary

The Cyclonic Extratropical Storms (CYCLES) project investigated the properties of extratropical cyclonic storms and their associated precipitation off the coast of Washington. This project provided the basis for important new knowledge conceding the mesoscale organization of precipitation, nature of the air and moisture flow fields and the micro-physical processes by which precipitable particles are produced in these storms.
