The BAMEX 2003 Hourly Surface Meteorological composite contains data from several networks (i.e., Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Southern Great Plains (SGP) Surface Meteorological Observation System (SMOS), Clolorado Agricultural Meteorological Network (COAGMET), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL), High Plains Climate Network (HPCN), Illinois Air Monitoring Network (AIRQUAL_IL), Illinois State Water Survey (ISWS) Illinois Climate Network (ICN), Iowas School Network (IA_SCH_NET), Kansas Ground Water Management District #5 (GWMD5), WK Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) Long-Term Ecological Site (LTER) (KELLOGG), Kentucky Air Monitoring Network (AIRQUAL_KY), Konza Prarie Long Term Ecological Research (KONZA_LTER), Louisiana Agriclimatic Information System (LAIS), Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), Unidata Local Data Manager (LDM) World Meteorological Organization (LDMSFCMETR), Michigan Automated Weather Network (MAWN), Missouri Commercial Agricultural Weather Station Network (MOCAWS), National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), New Mexico State University (NMSU), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Forecast Systems Laboratory (FSL) Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System (MADIS), North Dakota Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS), Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), Ohio Air Monitoring Network (AIRQUAL_OH), Ohio Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS), Purdue Automated Agricultural Weather Station (PAAWS), South Dakota Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS), Texas North Plains Potential Evapotranspiration (PET), West Texas Mesonet (WTXMESO), Texas Natural Resource Conservation Comission (TNRCC), Wisconsin Automated Weather Observation Network (WI_AWON), and the Hourly Surface data extracted from the BAMEX 2003 Mesonet: 1-Minute Surface Meteorological Composite) for the BAMEX 2003 domain and time period. Data from these sources were merged and quality controlled to form this Surface Composite.
