TRACI: TRiple AirCraft Intercomparison

Summary

A Triple-Aircraft Intercomparison (TRACI) was flown in July and October of 1985. Both the B200T, King Air and the L-188 Electra aircrafts were flown using fixed vanes, while the Sabreliner, Model 60 was flown using a nose radome. Information obtained from this intercomparison was used to validate the Electra, using fixed vanes, as an acceptable standard for subsequent evaluation of the new King Air radome. In addition, the Sabreliner nose radome flow-sensing configuration was evaluated with data obtained from this intercomparison.
