NDBC Buoy & Station Data

Project:

Summary

National Buoy Data Center operates a network of 6 moored buoys and 8 coastal stations in the Florida area. Data consist of temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed/ direction (3-10 m), sea surface temp and wave energy spectra at 1 h intervals (every 0.5 h for two buoys). Winds derived from 8 min averages (buoys) or 2 min averages (coastal). Many stations include tide gages.
