IMK 2.8km COSMO Model Imagery on Domain 2 Using IFS Boundary Conditions [IMK]
Summary
This data set contains COSMO (Consortium for Small Scale Modeling) model forecast imagery from the 2.8 km resolution version of the model on domain 2 (invest) and using the ECMWF IFS (Integrated Forecast System) global model for boundary conditions. The domains are defined daily, according to the current weather conditions. The domain is typically a 15 degree by 15 degree box over the region of primary interest. Often a second model run on a 15 degree by 15 degree box over a region of secondary interest. The forecast products are available hourly out to 72 hours. Products include amongst others surface, clouds, precipitation, and 200/500/850/1000mb winds and relative vorticity.
