PLOWS: Constant Pressure Level Imagery

Summary

This data set contains 12-hourly constant pressure level maps over the continental US. The levels included are 200, 250, 300, 500, 700 and 850 mb. During PLOWS 2009-2010 the 925 mb level was also included. The maps were generated by NCAR/RAL and contain actual station observations and the RUC initial analysis.

This data set contains imagery from the two PLOWS field phases, 7 January to 30 March 2009 and 16 October 2009 to 10 March 2010. No imagery are available for the period between the field phases.
