PLOWS: NOAA/NCEP WRF ARW Model Forecast Imagery

Summary

This data set contains the several forecast image products from the NOAA/NCEP WRF ARW model over the continental US. The products include 300mb heights/wind, 500mb heights/vorticity, 500mb heights/vorticity, 700 mb heights/humidity, 850mb heights/temperature/wind, and mean sea level pressure/1000-500mb thickness/precipitation. The products are available every 12 hours out to the 48 hour forecast. The images were created by the NOAA/NCEP.

During PLOWS 2009-2010 the simulated reflectivity product is also available. This data set contains imagery from the two PLOWS field phases, 6 February to 30 March 2009 and 15 October 2009 to 10 March 2010. No imagery are available for the period between the field phases.
