PREDICT: Low Rate (LRT - 1 sps) Navigation, State Parameter, and Microphysics Flight-Level Data [NCAR/EOL]

Summary

This data set includes airborne measurements obtained from the NCAR Research Aviation Facility (RAF) Gulfstream V (HIAPER) aircraft (Tail Number N677F) during the PRE-Depression Investigation of Cloud-systems in the Tropics (PREDICT) project. This dataset contains low rate navigation, state parameter, and microphysics flight-level data in netCDF format. NOTE: This dataset was updated Aug 4, 2011 to include production CVI data.

    This version uses exact circle fitting for measuring particle size and limits accepted particles to center-in images.

    In this process, variables with 1DC in the name have been replaced with 2DC.

  • 3.0 (2021-08-06):

    Aerosol data (UHSAS and WCN) have been updated based on new QAQC procedures, and an error in the algorithm for processing the UHSAS sample flow has been corrected.

    *_OPC data have been removed.
