Meteosat-9 Imager 3 km All Channels Data (MciDAS Format)
Project:
Summary
This dataset contains full resolution meteosat-9 data collected during the PREDICT project. The University of Wisconsin Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) made available the full resolution METEOSAT-9 imager data to the PREDICT investigators. NCAR/EOL collected and archived these data for access after the campaign. During PREDICT, METEOSAT-9 (a Meteosat Second Generation Satellite) was the operational Prime satellite, stationed at 0W. These data are in AREA file format and consist of 3km 12-channel data (including subsampled vis). Individual files exist for each of the original sector scans during the period 15 August - 30 September 2010. All files are gzip'ed to minimize size and download time. Each filename contains the UTC date/time stamp at which the sector was broadcast. For more information about Meteosat-9, please see: http://www.eumetsat.int/Home/Main/ServiceStatus/index.htm?l=en .
