GCIP/ESOP-97 Radar: WSI NIDS Radar Data
Summary
This dataset contains a limited set of WSR-88D Level III data products archived from the WSI NIDS datastream for five radars in the GCIP/ESOP-97 domain (DMX, DVN, LOT, MKX, and MPX). The products archived are base reflectivity and velocity at the first two tilts (the next two tilts were also collected for a portion of ESOP-97), composite reflectivity, and Vertical Azimuth Display (VAD) wind profile. Data are archived in the original WSI NIDS format on exabyte tape. One week's data is contained on a single tape, as one Unix "tar" file per day.
