DOTSTAR ASTRA Flight Level Data

Summary

This data set includes the DOTSTAR Astra Jet flight level data from six flights that occurred during ITOP_2010. The DOTSTAR aircraft was based out of Taiwan and flew the environment of tropical systems in the Western Pacific Ocean from August-October 2010. Data are included from Typhoon Kompasu (31 August), Typhoon Lionrock (31 August-1 September), Typhoon Fanapi (15-16, 16-17, and 17-18 September) and Super Typhoon Megi (16-17 October). The data files are in a comma-delimited ASCII format with observations every few seconds. NCAR/EOL have conducted no quality control on these data files.
