DOTSTAR ASTRA NCAR/EOL Dropsonde Data
Summary
During ITOP the National Taiwan University DOTSTAR Astra jet released a total of 94 dropsondes in six flights over the Pacific Ocean near Taiwan during the months of August, September, and October 2010. This data set includes the high resolution (0.25 second winds and 0.5 second pressure, temperature and humidity) DOTSTAR dropsonde data set in the EOL columnar ASCII sounding format. This data set has undergone the NCAR/EOL quality control processing and includes the calculated vertical winds. See the readme for details on the QC process and data quality issues.
