DYNAMO: Nairobi Radiosonde L3 Data

Summary

This dataset includes 198 high vertical resolution soundings from Nairobi collected during the DYNAMO field campaign for 2011-12. Soundings were typically released daily at 00 UTC from 31 August to 29 September 2011, then two times per day at 00 and 12 UTC from 30 September to 24 November 2011, then daily at 12 UTC from 7-29 January 2012 and finally daily at 00 UTC from 31 January to 6 March 2012. The station used Vaisala RS92-SGPD radiosondes. These soundings were provided by JAMSTEC and had preliminarly quality control by NCAR/EOL. This L3 version of the data set has had a daytime radiation dry bias correction applied by CSU.
