ACE-1: GMS-5 VIS Aircraft Track Imagery
Summary
GMS-5 Visible (VIS) imagery (with aircraft track overlaid on plot )collected during ACE-1 Intensive Operations in Hobart, Tasmania, via the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, then converted to GIF image format. These images consist of the Southern Ocean (image center 49 deg S, 142 deg E), 4 km resolution, collected every hour. Digital McIDAS Area Format data files were collected hourly at OFPS from which these GIF images were created.
