SGP99: DOE ARM SGP 50 MHz Profiler Winds
Summary
The Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program operates a 50 MHz profiler site at the Central Facility of its Southern Great Plains site. The 50 MHz profiler provides hourly vertical profiles of the components of the wind. Both high and low modes are included. The low mode covers from 1.455 km to 8.442 km with a vertical spacing of about 0.3 km. The high mode covers from 2.576 km to 16.548 km with a vertical spacing of about 0.6 km. See the README and header portion of the netcdf file for futher information.
