CaPE Rocket Triggered Lightning & Sondes

Summary

A RTLP campaign overlapped with CaPE from August through September at the "water" site on Mosquito Lagoon. Two rocket systems were used: French classical, unspooling triggering wire (1-1.5 km) and U.S. Army folding fin aircraft rockets (5-6 km). Data includes return stroke current waveforms (5-10 ns per sample) and continuing current waveforms (1 microsecond).
