SNOWIE: National Weather Service High Resolution Radiosonde Data
Summary
The National Weather Service (NWS) routinely releases radiosondes at 00 and 12 UTC with occasional special releases at sites throughout the United States. This data set includes the quality controlled SNOWIE NWS soundings released at 15 sites throughout the northwestern United States during the SNOWIE field phase (7 January to 17 March 2017). A total of 2191 quality-controlled, high vertical resolution (1-second) soundings are contained in the final SNOWIE data set.
