In all, there were 162 sounding sites with 23,042 soundings available during this period. High vertical resolution data is included from the R/V Kexue and R/V Shiyan 3 ship sites and GTS mandatory and significant level data is included from the remaining sites. Additionally, a FORTRAN program for reading the upper-air sounding data files is included. Please see the provided readme_SCSMEX file for more information.
