MethaneAIR: Airborne Imaging Spectrometer Level 3 Gridded Data

Summary

Airborne Imaging Spectrometer Level 3 Gridded Data are included in this dataset for the MethaneAIR (Methane Source Quantification) 2021 Field Project. Data are included for the 6 research flights: RF04, RF05, RF06, RF07, RF08 and RF09. This is a large dataset.

MethaneAIR measures absorption spectra with high spectral resolution, fine spatial resolution, wide swath, and high signal-to-noise ratio, enabling dramatically enhanced images of CH4 column mean dry mole fraction compared to other airborne or spaceborne imagers. MethaneAIR duplicates the spectroscopy of the MethaneSAT satellite ("MSAT", launched in March 2024).

Users interested in raw or Level 2 spectrometer data should contact the project's lead PI.
