ACE-1: NSF/NCAR C-130 DRI CCN and CN Data (Aircraft Soundings - Cloud Free)
Summary
Cloud Condensation Nuclei (CCN) and Condensation Nuclei (CN) measurements obtained by the Desert Research Institute (DRI - Hudson) from the NCAR C-130 during ACE-1. Concentrations are per cubic centimeter normalized to sea-level pressure. The data presented here are ambient, unprocessed measurements. All other measurements that were obtained during the project have been removed from these files. These data were obtained during aircraft soundings. A companion dataset is available that contains both in-cloud and cloud free data for these soundings.
