HLY-02-03 226Ra and 228Ra Data (Excel) [Kadko, D.]
Summary
This dataset contains measurements of the water column activities of the naturally occuring isotopes 226Ra and 228Ra. Because 228Ra (T1/2= 5.77y) is derived through input from shelf sediments, it is an unambiguous marker of water that has been in contact with shelves. Its relative distribution in the shelf and basin water is therefore very valuable in assessing the degree of shelf-basin interaction. These data were collected aboard the United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Healy cruise HLY-02-03.
