BACS: Rainwater Measurements
Summary
The BioAerosols and Convective Storms (BACS) campaign aims to study the concentrations, distributions, types and wet deposition of bioaerosols surrounding periods of convective storms in a grassland environment. This data includes rainwater measurements taken at the Central Plains Experimental Range (CPER), which is a National Ecological Observation Network (NEON) site located in Colorado, USA (40.8155, -104.7456) from May 23 – June 17, 2022, and from May 22 – June 23, 2023. Rainwater samples were collected in soil plot 3 located northwest of the NEON flux tower. Samplers were checked daily, and rainwater was collected for analysis whenever any accumulation was observed.
